# ALMS Guide Studio Browser Companion Privacy Policy

ALMS Marketplace provides the ALMS Guide Studio Browser Companion, a Chrome browser extension designed to operate authorized ALMS Guide Studio guided and secure browser sessions.
This policy explains how information is handled when the ALMS Guide Studio Browser Companion is used.
## Information the Extension May Handle
Depending on the authorized Guide Studio session, the Browser Companion may process limited information necessary to provide its functionality, including:
– Session and device identifiers used to maintain an authorized Guide Studio session.
– Website URLs, page titles, and navigation information associated with an active authorized session.
– Authentication information supplied through an administrator-configured secure session when required to sign in to an approved vendor website.
– Browser cookies and site-storage information associated with an authorized secure session.
– Page elements, selectors, text, links, images, or other website content selected through the Secure Session Designer for purposes such as allowing, blocking, hiding, masking, highlighting, or guiding elements.
– Session activity necessary to determine whether an authorized action succeeded, was blocked, or requires recovery.
– Technical information such as browser-session status and network information when required for session security or access-control policies.
## How Information Is Used
Information handled by the Browser Companion is used only to provide and secure ALMS Guide Studio functionality, including:
– Launching and maintaining authorized guided browser sessions.
– Applying administrator-configured navigation and page policies.
– Supporting Secure Session Designer functionality.
– Maintaining approved tab and session continuity.
– Performing authorized authentication workflows.
– Preventing secure-session credentials from being unintentionally retained by the browser.
– Ending sessions and clearing applicable vendor-session cookies or site data.
– Detecting session expiration, revocation, or recovery requirements.
– Providing security, troubleshooting, audit, and operational functionality directly related to the Guide Studio session.
ALMS Marketplace does not use Browser Companion data for personalized advertising, behavioral advertising, data brokerage, or determining creditworthiness.
## Authentication Information
When an administrator-configured secure session requires authentication to an approved vendor service, the Browser Companion may temporarily process authentication information required to complete that sign-in.
Authentication information is used only for the authorized authentication workflow and related session operation. The Browser Companion is designed to avoid permanently saving temporary secure-session passwords in Chrome.
## Website and Browsing Information
The Browser Companion is not designed to create a general browsing-history profile.
Website URLs, page information, and interactions are processed only when necessary to provide an active or administrator-authorized ALMS Guide Studio session, enforce its policies, provide Secure Session Designer functionality, or maintain session security and recovery.
## Cookies and Site Data
The Browser Companion may access cookies or site data associated with an authorized secure session.
When a protected session ends, the extension may remove cookies, cache, local storage, IndexedDB data, service workers, or other applicable site information belonging to the vendor origins used during that session. This cleanup is performed to prevent an authenticated secure session from remaining available on the device.
## Data Sharing
ALMS Marketplace does not sell Browser Companion user data.
Information is not transferred to third parties for advertising, data brokerage, lending, or creditworthiness purposes.
Information may be processed by ALMS Marketplace systems as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Browser Companion and Guide Studio service, or as otherwise required by law.
## Data Security
Information transmitted between the Browser Companion and ALMS Marketplace services is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections.
ALMS Marketplace applies access controls and security practices intended to limit access to information to authorized systems and personnel for legitimate operational, security, or support purposes.
## Data Retention
Temporary session information is retained only as necessary to operate and secure the applicable Guide Studio session.
Operational and security records may be retained for legitimate security, auditing, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, or legal requirements according to applicable ALMS Marketplace retention practices.
## Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received through the ALMS Guide Studio Browser Companion complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Information obtained through Chrome extension permissions is used only to provide or improve the Browser Companion’s disclosed single purpose and related security and operational functionality.
ALMS Marketplace does not use or transfer this information for personalized advertising, data brokerage, determining creditworthiness, or other purposes unrelated to the Browser Companion’s disclosed functionality.
## User Choices
Users may stop use of the Browser Companion by ending the applicable Guide Studio session, disabling the extension, or uninstalling the extension from Chrome.
Questions regarding information associated with an ALMS Guide Studio account or authorized session may be submitted through ALMS Marketplace support.
## Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the Browser Companion’s features, data practices, legal requirements, or Chrome Web Store requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are made.
